Massive Update #Immunity

Hi Everyone,

Well as you have probably noticed i have been absent from my blog. Not because i have decided to stop blogging or worse given up loving beauty, fashion and food entirely. Simply because in the past couple of months i have had to reconsider a couple of major life changing opportunities and topped it off with the worst flu virus i have ever had.

It’s amazing just what can happen within the space of a day. One moment you are on top of the world, the next sick. I always put my health first and make sure i get plenty of rest. I love to remain active each day and love getting things done.

However, what this month has taught me is no matter what age you are, how many vitamins and minerals you get or how well you treat your body. Is that somehow you can manage to fall ill.

There is no way that i would have even considered getting the flu this year nor even imagined that it would affect a person my age. On average more reported cases of the flu are within the elderly or children. Some people are more susceptible if they have high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and cancer patients, thats just to name a few.

My immune system was clearly bruised and battered with the onset of the flu. Your immunity is key at the this time of the year and so are basic hygiene standards. With the spread of the flu peaking between mid-end of July, i would strongly suggest everyone to go and get your flu shot. Do not take it for granted!

It’s now day 19 of the end of the flu and 2 and half weeks of this month have gone. This is a lot if you are as busy and have engagements to attend. Getting rid of all of this has affected the way i work and work opportunities.

On top of the flu i developed a chest infection, that upon diagnosis from the doctor told me it was Acute Bronchitis. Yikes!!! This is called a flu complication. I was incredibly lucky not to develop the full dose of Bronchitis or worse Pneumonia, that if not treated soon can kill. I was lucky to recover swiftly and seek medical advice from the moment that i noticed that what was a extreme dry cough turned chesty.

I hope to bring you more and more blog posts sooner and now every week. I hope that i have inspired you to go and get your flu shot and the dangers of the rise of the flu. Don’t forget to Stay Immune this June and always remember to stay indoors away from others if you have the flu.
